Start with a defined logistics assessment
A scoped assessment establishes the requirements for an implementation proposal. The scope and fee are agreed with specialist hospital logistics engineers before work begins.
- Meal, linen and supply-cart routes, transport volumes and peak demand.
- Corridor traffic, lift queues, doors, staging and charging areas.
- Cart compatibility, fleet capacity and recovery when a route or robot is unavailable.
- Interfaces between fleet software, building systems and hospital operations.
- Infrastructure changes, implementation costs, training and ongoing service.
Each route is assessed for the actual building, carts, traffic and service requirements.

For existing hospitals, identify a feasible first route and the changes needed to operate it. For new facilities, assess routes, lifts, charging and service areas while building decisions are still open.
Move forward with measurable acceptance criteria.
Where the assessment supports proceeding, define a bounded pilot with agreed targets for delivery times, capacity, availability and staff intervention. The proposal sets out operating procedures, fallback arrangements, responsibilities and the conditions for expansion.
